DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS STUDIES
Course Introduction
This programme is designed to give the student an understanding of the theoretical and practical skills necessary for success in the business environment. Covering all the major business studies areas and topics, the ICM Diploma in Business Studies programme has, over a fifteen year period, achieved international recognition and is now undertaken in over 100 countries.
Awarding Body: The Institute of Commercial Management
Schedule: 2 evenings per week, 6.15-9.30pm
Duration: Offered twice yearly - in October, and early in the New Year (either January, February or March) - 1 year part-time
Course Aims & Objectives
In addition to providing a comprehensive knowledge of each of the major business disciplines, the programme is designed to ensure that students will have the widest range of career, employment and further education opportunities open to them upon completion of their studies.
It is particularly suited to those already employed in areas such as engineering, manufacturing, computing, personnel and the service industries, who are seeking to advance or broaden their careers with a formal business qualification.

Assessment
To be awarded the Diploma in Business Studies, a student will have to complete end of semester examinations in December and June.
Career Opportunities
On completion of this programme, students will have the knowledge and skills required to work in a variety of positions such as business, administration, finance or research executive.
